Summary of ATP CTP Training Program:
As of August 1, 2014, all pilots seeking an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
with multiengine privileges are required to complete an FAA-approved ATP Certification Training Program prior to
taking the FAA Airline Transport Pilot Multi-Engine (ATM) knowledge test.
The ATP CTP program provides the essential first step toward Airline Transport Pilot Certification.
Upon completion of this program, applicants will be eligible for the FAA ATP knowledge test.
The training program will deliver conceptual knowledge through academics and consolidate that knowledge through
hands-on training in a Fixed-Based Training Device (FTD) and Full Motion Flight Simulator (FFS).
The ATP CTP course covers specific subjects required by regulation. The FAA Airline Transport Pilot Multi-Engine
(ATM) knowledge test questions are developed by the FAA separately from required ATP CTP course content. It is
important to understand that even though the ATP CTP course is a prerequisite for the knowledge test, the ATP CTP
is not designed to prepare you for the ATM knowledge test.
The ATP CTP course will cover aerodynamics, high altitude operations, air carrier operations, adverse weather
conditions, leadership, professional development, crew resource management, and safety culture.

Ground School |
| Classroom instruction of 30 hours will include aerodynamics, high altitude operations, air carrier operations, adverse weather conditions, leadership, professional development, crew resource management, and safety culture. | |
| DAY 5 |
Fixed-Based Training Device (FTD) |
| FTD training will include 4 hours of training in a fixed-base training device, with instruction on navigation, flight management systems, and automation. | |
| DAY 6 |
Full-Motion Simulator (FFS) |
| Simulator training includes a total of 6 hours in a full-motion flight simulator, with instruction on low energy states/stalls, upset recovery techniques, and adverse weather conditions. | |
This Training Program is designed to provide the pilots with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain a B727-200 Type Rating.

proficient on the B727/200 aircraft.
This course is applicable only to previously trained and qualified pilots on the B727/200 aircraft.

This Training Program is designed to meet the requirements of 14 CFR Part 61 Section 63.37 and Appendix C to Part 63 which leads to a Flight Engineer Certificate with turbojet rating in the B727 when used with the system of instruction found in the Global One Training Center B727 Part 142 Flight Engineer Training Program. This Curriculum contains Flight Engineer certification requirements and are based on the Flight Engineer Practical Test Standard – Turbojet Powered Aircraft (FAA.S.8081.21).

This course is designed for the maintenance engineers and technicians, to prepare the aircraft, cockpit, and systems for engine operation and taxi procedures. During the Full Flight Simulator Training Sessions, the technicians will learn how to operate the engines in normal, abnormal and emergency conditions using the appropriate procedures and checklists.

Training Objectives:
- Engines operational limitations.
- Learn the general requirements to prepare the aircraft, engines and the surrounding areas before an engine run is attempted.
- Learn how to perform an external walk around check.
- Learn how to perform a cockpit preparation check using the checklists.
- Identify and explain in detail the normal function of all aircraft systems necessary to safely operate the Engine Starting and Shutdown procedures.
- Engine Starting, Engine Running, and Shutdown procedures.
- Be familiar with the physical size, including dimensions and clearances required while taxiing the aircraft.
- Use aircraft radio communications systems to communicate with ground traffic control and Air Traffic Control using proper procedures and terminology.
- Identify airport taxiway and runway signs and symbols, Normal Hold Short and ILS Hold Short procedures.
- Use of all appropriate hand and/or voice signals and standard terminology for clear communications between flight deck and ground personnel during airplane Towing, Pushback, and Taxi operations.
- Be able to identify abnormal conditions and handle them properly using the appropriates checklists and procedures.
- Taxi procedures, including parking and securing the aircraft.
- Procedures and checklists for how to evacuate the aircraft in an emergency.
